        This policy explains what data PACE AI collects, why we collect it, and how we use it. We take your privacy seriously and will never sell your personal data.
      

1. Who We Are

PACE AI is a personalised AI running coach application operated by Aaron Hughes, based in South Wales, United Kingdom. For any privacy-related queries, contact us at paceaiapp@outlook.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information — your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
Fitness and health data — information you provide during onboarding such as your running experience, goals, race targets, and weekly availability
Training data — run screenshots you upload, manually entered run data (distance, time, effort), and AI-generated training plans assigned to your account
Payment data — subscription billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. We retain only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Usage data — basic app interaction data used to improve the service

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Create and manage your account
Generate personalised AI training plans tailored to your goals and fitness level
Analyse your uploaded run screenshots and manually entered runs
Adapt your training week-on-week based on your performance
Process your subscription payment via Stripe
Send account-related communications (e.g. subscription confirmations)
Improve and maintain the app

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. AI Processing

PACE AI uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate training plans and analyse your runs. When you use AI features, relevant data (such as your fitness profile, run details, and uploaded screenshots) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

5. Data Storage

Your account and training data is stored securely using Supabase, which stores data on servers within the European Union. Run screenshots are stored in Supabase Storage. Supabase's privacy policy applies to data stored on their infrastructure.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
Anthropic — AI coaching and run analysis

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data processing terms. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

As a UK resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"). You can also delete your account directly within the app.
Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format
Right to object — object to processing of your personal data

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and training history will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for service improvement purposes.

9. Children's Privacy

PACE AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

        Please read these Terms carefully before using PACE AI. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
      

1. About PACE AI

PACE AI is a personalised AI-powered running coach application operated by Aaron Hughes ("we", "us", "our"), based in South Wales, United Kingdom. Contact us at paceaiapp@outlook.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PACE AI. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

          Important: PACE AI provides AI-generated training guidance for informational and motivational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting a new exercise programme, particularly if you have any existing health conditions or injuries.
        

By using PACE AI, you acknowledge that:

Physical exercise carries inherent risks including injury
AI-generated training plans are based on the information you provide and may not account for all individual circumstances
You participate in any training at your own risk
We are not liable for any injury, illness, or other harm arising from following training plans generated by the app

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at paceaiapp@outlook.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Subscription & Payments

PACE AI operates on a subscription basis at £4.99 per month. By subscribing you agree to the following:

Your subscription will renew automatically each month unless cancelled
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the "Manage Subscription" option in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused periods, except where required by UK consumer law
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice

A free trial period may be offered at our discretion. Trial terms will be clearly stated at the point of sign-up.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure
Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes third-party rights
Share, resell, or sublicense access to the app
Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app
Attempt to circumvent any paywall or access restrictions

7. AI-Generated Content

Training plans, run analyses, and coaching feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive to make these outputs accurate and useful, we do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances. AI outputs should be used as guidance only and not as a sole basis for making health or fitness decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

The PACE AI app, including its design, code, branding, and content, is owned by Aaron Hughes. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of any data you upload to the app (such as run screenshots). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process and store that content for the purpose of providing the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Aaron Hughes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PACE AI, including but not limited to physical injury, loss of data, or loss of earnings.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in subscription fees in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep PACE AI available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from service unavailability.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

Upon termination, your access to the app will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of PACE AI shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
